This is the time when we dermatologist meet chapped lips patients.  The first question I usually come across is “Why do I have chapped lips?” There are multiple reasons for chapped lips like dry weather, prolonged sun exposure, vitamin deficiency, blocked nose, side effects of some drugs that you might be prescribed, high fever, dehydration, or certain irritants that come in contact with your lips.
