Anti-bacterial soaps - prevents or promotes infections?

If you do not eat antibiotic daily to prevent infection, then why do you use anti-bacterial soap daily on your skin ?

The reality is regular use of anti-bacterial soaps might not only increase the chance of getting infected from superbug but also contributing to extinction of aquatic life. FDA is re-considering the safety of anti-bacterial like triclosan and Centre for disease control and prevention (CDC) also refutes regular use of anti-bacterial soap at home.
